Florida Collegiate Summer League 2016 Preview

Altamonte Springs, FL – If you have never been to a Florida Colligate Summer League baseball game before than your missing out on some great fun. Come see the players hassle to make great plays. These are not paid players, but players who want to expand their baseball skills during the summer time. Some of these players may make it to the big league one day playing for Major League Baseball (MBL).

Because this is a unique league, there are only six during in Central Florida. Check out a game at of one of a variety of locations such as Altamonte, DeLand, Leesburg, Winter Garden, Winter Park, and Sanford. Ticket prices are reasonable for a family. The first game of the season is on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Join the fans at Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium before the 2016 Florida League season opener for a Funtastic tailgate party starting at 4pm. The Funtastic tailgate is sponsored by Yuengling, Axis Magazine and the West end Trading Company.

They will have live music, games for adults and kids, and $1 Yuengling on hand! Party from 5-7 pm, and then head inside to watch the defending champion Sanford River Rats take on the Leesburg Lightning at 7pm. Bring your family and friends out to this game. Tickets prices are $6 for Adults and $4 for Seniors/Military/Youth Kids age 6 and under are free!
