If you have never seen the Canstruction Orlando Exhibit before now is your chance to see in person on October 15-27, 2018. This year is a change in venue location and is being held at the Orlando Science Center. One can make a difference. This event brings awareness to the hunger issue, right here in Central Florida.

It is a quick drive from Downtown Orlando to the Orlando Science Center (OSC)at 777 East Princeton Street, Orlando, Florida 32803. Check your GPS for the best route there. There is limited street parking. Most visitors park in the OSC parking garage for a fee per vehicle.

There are many themed canned creations constructed by many local engineering, designers, and construction firms. This year’s theme will include cakes, candles, balloons, wrapped gifts, and much more. It is anyone’s guess what the team is going to build.

The Canstruction is a long process started from May 1st with the exhibit kickoff. Followed by Registration on June 1. The real work begins on September 28th with the details, design statement, and sketch of can structure. Then the each team must conduct a can count by October 12th. The tough work begins on October 14th with the one day for each team to build their Canstruction builds. Then on October 15th the jury meets to see who has the best Canstruction build for this year. The general public is welcome to see the exhibit starting on October 15–27. Then de-canstruction begins on October 28th with the dismantling of all can structure which will be donated to a worthy cause.
