Nuevo Leon vs. Tortilleria Del Barrio Medium Burrito Tortillas Product Review

Many customers may have noticed a new soft tortillas product showing up on the Dollar Tree’s Store shelves. I will break down the difference between both tortillas products. There is a big difference. Both of these brands sell for $1, which is a bargain price compared to other retail stores.

Last month, Dollar Tree Stores removed the Nuevo Leon 12-count Soft Tortillas Shells in a 16oz. package from their store shelves. This product had been on the store shelf for many years. It is unknown why they removed this product. These tortillas are made in Irving, Texas. Even I have brought them thru the years. What I found many times with this product is that the soft tortillas shells would stick together. The label on the package states, “flex before opening.” Most of the time a single tortillas would stick together. This may be the fault of a store stocker stacking too many tortillas on top of each other and they were taken out of the box. Now Dollar Tree Stores no longer carry this brand at the current time. For more information on this brand please visit .

Then recently Dollar Tree started carrying a new brand tortillas shells name of Tortilleria Del Barrio. This product is a 12-count Soft Tortillas Shells in a 16oz. package. Their tortillas are made in Mexico. Sometimes too these tortillas stick together too. Sorry, no website listed for this new brand made in Mexico.

Between both products, I prefer the Tortilleria Del Barrio brand over Nuevo Leon brand. They are much more tastier, and are real tortillas made by the Mexican people. Pick you Tortilleria Del Barrio and try it for yourself. Stop by a store or go online to buy a box of tortillas.
