Wednesday, October 10, 2018, 8pm – 1am – House of Pride: The Edge Reunion
Let us not forget where we came from! Let us not forget that the nightclub and its culture was the very place that many of us could be FREE! We could dress how we wanted, hit the club and take our problems to the dance floor. The music filling our bodies with the courage to DANCE and LIVE in the moment. Enter the outrageous entertainment that paved the way for generations to come and provide that extra moment of bliss we were so longing for—that moment where nothing else mattered.
A few decades ago The Edge in Orlando provided many of those moments that will never be forgotten. Cindy Barboloc curated this energy week after week with DJs like ICEY, SANDY, Robby Clark and Daisy. Drag was always at the forefront of our culture with incomparable shows from Fantasy, Saigon Starr and China Girl.
In honor of the empire that our community has built within our own “Houses” (which are now more referred to as our “Families”) we want to bring the most successful gay night in Orlando back for ONE NIGHT ONLY!
The Edge, located where Ace Cafe is now, is our Wednesday night celebration for Come out With Pride. With the help of Cindy B (aka MAMA) we invite all of the families to represent. The music will play, we will dance and celebrate our chosen families and the people who created the Orlando club culture.
DJs and entertainment lineup will be announced soon, but 10/10 is a night not to be missed! This event is taking place at Ace Café Orlando – 100 West Livingston Street, Orlando, Florida 32801. For more information on this event please visit comeoutwithpride.com/house-of-pride/ .
