I had a chance to eat the other day at Cecil’s Texas Style Bar BQ. I have to admit I have had their food before at a sporting event when I was on assignment. The arena had it catered in. Then I promised one the servers I would visit the restaurant in Orlando. This place is considered a fast-causal restaurant.
Here is some history about Cecil’s Texas Style Bar BQ, which has been serving only the highest quality meats and vegetables in the Sunshine State since 1992. And we still do it the old fashion way—hand carved and trimmed right before your eyes, alongside vegetables that are homemade and prepared fresh every day. Information was taken from restaurant brochure.
It is a quick drive from Downtown Orlando to Cecil’s Texas Style Bar BQ near the corner of Michigan Street and Orange Avenue. Check your GPS for the best route there. There is plenty of free parking. They are located at 2800 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32806.
Upon enter this restaurant at lunchtime on a Saturday afternoon; Customers first look at the menu before ordering. The friendly staff asked what I would like for lunch. I ordered the lunch special a regular pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast with sides of green beans and baked beans. To drink I had the fresh sweet ice too. Then to complete the meal they had free soft serve ice cream for dessert. I ate the entire meal up. There was nothing left on my metal tray.
Overall, I really enjoyed this meal and I plan on coming back to this restaurant in the future. For the money it is good food with a Texas flare. For more information on this restaurant please visit www.cecilsbbq.com .
