Mark your calendar for Friday, November 30, 2018, for the 2018 City of Orlando Tree Lighting Celebration at the Walt Disney Amphitheater at Lake Eola Park, from 5pm – 10pm. This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend. Plan to arrive early for the best seats at the amphitheater. First come. First serve. No reserving seats.
The City of Orlando’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration at Lake Eola Park will feature the official lighting of the city’s 72-foot Christmas tree featuring 88,000 animated lights that will perform nightly in a synchronized light show. The event also includes live entertainment and holiday music. Mayor Buddy Dyer will do the honors by flipping the switch on the largest tree in Downtown Orlando.
Here is the entertainment schedule as follows:
5 p.m. – Trinity Lutheran School Choir
6 p.m. – Santa arrives to Washington Plaza
6:45 p.m. – Orlando Concert Band Pre-Show Music
7 p.m. – Holiday Celebration Stage Show
8 p.m. – Tree Lighting Countdown
Lake Eola is in the heart of downtown Orlando. There will be limited street parking around Lake Eola Park. There are public and private parking garages in the area to park your vehicle for a fee. Consider taking a ride serving service, taxi, or bus service, to this event.
