Mark your calendar for Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts being held on March 2 & 3, 2019, at Oval Park near AAA. This is a juried art show. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event. Take a stroll around the park and see this entire venue. Expect to spend a few hours at this event. Rain or shine this art show goes on.

Here is the mission of this fine art show, which is to produce a fine-juried show for the Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts, featuring national and international artists and contemporary craftsman, while raising scholarship money for graduating Seminole County High School Students. In doing so, we hope to stimulate, energize, and foster pride within the local economy, encourage involvement within Seminole County, entertain our guests and celebrate the arts!

Visitors from Florida, the U.S. and around the globe come to their festival to view fine art and craft exhibits, enjoy live entertainment, and savor appetizing treats from local food trucks purveyors! The festivities also include a children’s creative village and a VIP tent.

Lake Mary is only a short drive from Orlando. Just take I-4 going East to Exit 101A then take a left onto H.E. Thomas Jr Highway Next, take a left onto International Parkway. Look for signs directing drivers to park. There is very limited free street parking available. Most art patrons will pay $5 and park across the street on a commercial office building property. If you live in the area, some festivalgoers will walk or ride their bike down to this venue.

One will notice this year’s featured festival post created by artist Carrie Berry, which depicts a very colorful, bears with their mother. This poster can be purchased at the information both. For more information on this artist please visit www.facebook.com/carrieberryartist/ .

This year’s judges for this art festival are Lori Arbel, Alison Jakob, Kelly & Courtney Canova, These are four highly qualified judges who will visit all the artist booths. Awards will be determined by category such as Best in Show, Award of Merit, and much more. On Sunday, look for the award winners at this show.

There is much to see and do at this year’s art festival. Catch the 100+ fine artists and crafters, grade school fine arts on display, and live entertainment on the main stage. Don’t forget to check out the grade school fine arts on display under one of the large tents. One will be amazed of the K-12 grade school artwork. Some of the many of young artists might be looking to become a professional artist one day.

If you get hungry, this event has you covered. There will be a variety of food trucks on hand serving up their favorites. Food and drink prices range from $1-$14 depending on item. If your looking to taste of great wine, than this is the place.
