Mark your calendar for the 2019 Star Spangled 4th of July on the Riverwalk in Sanford, from 4pm – 10pm. This is the second largest fireworks event in Seminole County. Everyone is welcome to attend this free Independence Day event. Rain or Shine this event goes on.
Before attending this event here are some suggested items to bring. One will needs folding chairs, 10×10 canopy tent, soft cooler with drinks and food, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, photo/video camera, comfortable clothing, bug spray, books, and games. Note all bags and container are subjected to be searched. Don’t forget to leave your pets at home. Service animals are welcome to attend.
It is a short drive from Downtown Orlando to Downtown Sanford. Check your GPS for the best route there. Parking is limited near the Riverwalk. It is recommended to come early for the best parking spaces available. Some public/private parking lots may charge $5-$20 per vehicle. For free parking park in the residential area. Some streets maybe closed because of event. When this event ends pack your patients because many popular roads will be crowded heading South on State Road 17-92 and on West State Road 46.
Before this event starts, many families will be at Fort Mellon Park in Sanford. There will be many activities to see and do. The park amenities are splash pad, playground, tennis courts, fitness trail, and much more.
There are many sights and sound for the Star Spangled Sanford event. It is recommended to come a few hours early to stake out your prime viewing spot for the fireworks display over Lake Monroe. These spots fill up fast. There will be a heavy law enforcement presents at this event. Many shops and restaurants will be open for business on this holiday.
