First of all, this is not a religious recruitment article. I don’t have anything against Jehovah’s Witnesses. They are welcome to prey anywhere they want. It is unknown how I got on their mailing list. They are targeting the person. I have my own beliefs and want to keep it private.
Recently, I received two plain unknown addressed to me as (City) Neighbor or Current Resident weeks apart. This individual listed their home address on the sender area of the envelope. There was nothing on the envelope that said Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Most people might have thrown out the envelope, which they did not know from by the sender. I threw out the first envelope. The second mailed envelope got my attention and I opened it from the same person on the envelope.
When I opened the letter it had four pieces total inside. The first piece inside the envelope states, [You are invited 2019 “Love Never Fails”! Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses”] along with an illustration of their religious community members. Inside the brochure listed were the convention was going to be in the Central Florida and was being held August 23-25, 2019.
Next, there was a brochure entitled [How do you view the future?] with an illustration of an Asian little girl holding a young plant. This was a recruitment brochure material. If you wanted more information then contact the address listed on the brochure.
Then I found a hand written index card explaining “Love Never Fails” along with a short noted that was signed by female. The female wrote it in blue ink.
The fourth printed material entitled [You are invited to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses.] Inside the brochure was a hand written location of the Kingdom Hall in my city.
Here is a side note to this article. On the day, the Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses, I found their members directing and parking vehicles in the parking lot at this venue. They did not force their beliefs on to me. They understood there were other events going on at the same time as their convention. Personally, I did not realize how many followers they had. The parking lot was very crowded. Many of their followers were dressed in their Sunday’s best. They did welcome me to stop their free convention if I had the time. I did not take them up on their offer.
Finally, one never knows what they will find in their mailbox. I’ll know next year what to look for. If your interested in the Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses please visit their website at www.jw.org .
