2019 20th Annual City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade Preview

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council will hosting the 20th annual City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 11am – 1pm, in Downtown Orlando, to honor the courageous men and women of the armed forces who have fought for our nation’s freedoms. Rain or shine this event goes on.

This event is in the heart of Downtown Orlando. Check your GPS for the best route there. Parking should not be a big problem in Downtown Orlando for this parade. It is recommended to arrive early for good parking and a reserve your great viewing spot on the street. There are many public and private parking garages in downtown to choose from. The price for parking may range from $10-$20 per vehicle depending the on location. Some streets may be closed due to the parade. Expect drivers to be detoured around North Orange Avenue. Law Enforcement will be out directing traffic before, during, and after this parade. This parade will start at the corner of Robinson Street and go south on Orange Avenue, then turn left onto Central Avenue heading east. Next, the parade will take a left onto Rosalind Avenue and head north and will end at Robinson Street. It is recommended to arrive early to reserve your viewing spot for this parade. Don’t forget your still/video camera for capture the moments.

Here are the sights and sounds of this parade which will be featuring marching bands, ROTC units, active duty military, decorative floats and veterans groups from all military branches representing a wide variety of conflicts. This year’s theme will honor WWII veterans, with the parade’s five Grand Marshals all having served during WWII.
