Mark your calendar for Seniors First Turkey Trot 5k presented by HUB Thursday, November 28, 2019, event activities start at 7am. A Thanksgiving tradition now in its 30th year. Join us at beautiful Lake Eola bright and early Thanksgiving morning and burn some calories before you feast! Participate as over 5,000 runners, joggers and walkers, many dressed in full costumes or Thanksgiving themed hats hit the course for a morning of fun to raise money for Meals on Wheels and other programs that support seniors in our community.

The event is being held in the heart of Downtown Orlando at Lake Eola Park. Check your GPS for the best route there. Because of the holiday, there is some limited amount of free street parking. Public and private lots/garages are open for a parking fee. It is recommend arriving early for the best parking available. Some street will be closed in downtown Orlando for the race. Lake Eola address is 227 North Eola Drive, Orlando, Florida 32801.

Here are some highlights of this event, which includes a Best Costume Contest, Best Turkey Call, Oldest Participant Award, Top Fundraising Team – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and free Tot Trot. This is a fun event for all.

This event is not just for runners; walkers are also encouraged to participate too. Track Shack offers walker friendly events keeping Central Florida Fit are our mission. Walkers are encouraged to participate in all Track Shack races. Municipalities require that road ways are clear of participants and opened as soon as the race is complete. That is why a maximum pace of 15 minutes per mile is set. If the pace isn’t maintained, race officials will ask you to move to the sidewalk to re-open the roadways.

Runners and walkers will enjoy this scenic and shady route meanders through the brick streets of beautiful downtown Orlando. This route is a USATF-certified course: Senior’s First Turkey Trot Course Certification .
