2019 Annual Casselberry Craft Beer & Blues Festival Preview

Central Florida are you ready for some great Blues music and a craft beer then mark your calendar for the Casselberry Craft Beer & Blues Festival which is being held on the weekend of November 16 & 17, 2019, from 5pm -9pm, at Lake Concord Park. This is a two concert featuring Joe Louis Walker, The Nighthawks, Mike Zito, Albert Castiglia, David Julia, and The Paul Stott Group. The festival is sponsored by the City of Casselberry and the Orange Blossom Blues Society Admission is free. Rain or shine this event goes on.

This event is only a short drive from Orlando. There are many routes to take to arrive at this event. Please check your GPS for the best travel route. Parking near Lake Concord Park is very limited. Here are some areas where one can park their vehicle and walk over to the park. There is plenty of parking at the Casselberry Target and Home Depot. It is recommended to get to this event early for the best parking spaces. There are a limited number of handicap spaces near the Casselberry Police Station and Casselberry City Hall public parking lot. The event address is 4195 S U.S. Highway 17-92, Casselberry, Florida 32707.

Don’t forget to bring your folding chair and or blanket to sit out on the lawn in front of the stage. Anywhere you sit will be the best seat in the house. Relax and enjoy some great jazz music from these well-known musicians. It is recommended to leave your coolers at home.

Joe Louis Walker, also known as JLW is an American musician, best known as an electric blues guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer. His knowledge of blues history is revealed by his use of older material and playing styles. Who is The Nighthawks Band? The Nighthawks are an American blues and roots music band, based in Washington, D.C. As of 2018, The Nighthawks are Mark Wenner, Paul Bell, Johnny Castle, and Mark Stutso. Some of the songs they play are “Honky Tonk Queen,” “Down to My Last Million Tears,” and “Livin’ the Blues.” For more information on this band please visit www.thenighthawks.com . Besides the music there are vendors and artisans selling and providing services. Check out the many local companies on hand. Just about all crafts and fine arts are hand made by the individual artists. Some items you’ll find are handmade soaps, candles, fresh honey, floral arrangements, artwork in and various styles. Plus, there will be some service vendors such as investment planning services, insurance brokers, and much more. Prices on items and services are reasonable. Don’t forget to bring cash. Some vendors may only take cash while others take both cash and credit cards.

One can’t forget the food. There will be plenty of food vendors on hand with a variety of food and drinks to choose from. Prices range from $2 – $15 depending on what you order. On average a full meal can costs about $10.
