Mark your calendar for The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the 67th annual Winter Park “Ye Olde Hometown” Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7, 2019, from 9am – 10:30am. The event has been held each December for more than 67 years, making it the oldest continuous holiday parade in Central Florida.
It is a quick drive from Downtown Orlando to Downtown Winter Park. Check your GPS for the best route there. There is plenty of street parking in the business and residential area. Plus, there are a few public parking garages open during this event. Plan to arrive early for the best parking spaces. Some street may be closed during the parade.
The sight and sounds of this parade will keep your entertained. Plan to arrive early to get a great spot on the street. Your welcome to bring your own folding chairs to watch this parade. Don’t forget to bring the photo/video camera to capture the memorable moments.
Each year the parade travels down Park Avenue, starting at Cole Avenue and proceeding south, ending at Lyman Avenue. More than 80 organizations participate including marching bands, local police and fire departments, scouting groups, local dignitaries and, of course, Santa Claus. Some floats may be giving out free swag to the crowds on the street. For safety reasons, please do not obstruct any moving floats during the parade. Please remain on the sidewalk for the duration of this parade.
