Recently, I stopped by the Hamburger Mary’s Bar & Grill in Downtown Orlando with my family to get a bit to eat before an Orlando Magic basketball game. This was first time to this restaurant. I did not know what to expect. So I decided to give it a try.
On a Saturday around 4:30pm, we walked into this restaurant and there was not wait. There were plenty of tables to sit at. Plus, there is outside tables too. The décor of the restaurant reminded me of mixture of Pop Art and Art Décor. It was quiet colorful too. There is a statue of Mary in one of the front windows at the restaurant.
There is a largest selection of food items to choose from. They are known for their gourmet burgers. I thought many of burgers had unique and inspired names. Some of the cool burger names are Proud Mary Burger, The Mac Daddy Burger, The Queen Mary Burger, The Oktoberfest Burger, and much more. Food prices range from $5.95 to $16.95 not including tax and tip.
When it was time to order I choose the plain “The Mary Burger” with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickle, secret sauce on the side, the meat cooked well done, and served with French fries. Cheese was extra if someone wanted it on your burger.
It did not take long to cook up this hot meal and was brought to the table. What is in the secret sauce? It looked like a mixture of thousand dressing and something else. It was not spicy but tasted good.
The side of French fries reminded me of Checkers style French fries. They were hot and seasoned quite well. So I add the ketchup to my fries. This side completed my meal.

No, I did not have room for dessert for this night. But, I heard they got some great desserts such as Fired Twinkies, Florida Key Lime Pie, Mary Tyler Smores, and Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake.
I had no problem eating the entire burger. This was one the better burger I have had in some time. The restaurant made everyone welcome at their place. The service was very good.
On certain nights of the week, there is entertainment. Check their website to see what event is going on. This is one burger place I will return again when in the area. For more information about this place please visit www.hamburgermarys.com/orlando
