Mark your calendar for the City of Orlando MLK Parade in Downtown Orlando on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 10am. This year’s theme is “King 2020, The Beloved Community: The Fierce Urgency of Now.” This is a family friendly event. Everyone from all walks of life is welcome to watch and participate in this parade. Rain or shine this parade goes on.

This event is in the heart of Downtown Orlando. Check your GPS for the best route there. Parking should not be a big problem in Downtown Orlando for this parade. It is recommended to arrive early for good parking and a reserve your great viewing spot on the street. There are many public and private parking garages in downtown to choose from. The price for parking may range from $10-$20 per vehicle depending the on location. Some streets may be closed due to the parade. Expect drivers to be detoured around North Orange Avenue. Law Enforcement will be out directing traffic before, during, and after this parade. This parade will start at the corner of south on Orange Avenue by courthouse and go to Lake Eola Park. Exact parade route posted soon. It is recommended to arrive early to reserve your viewing spot for this parade. Don’t forget your still/video camera for capture the moments.

Here are the sights and sounds of this parade, which will be featuring marching bands, ROTC units, decorative floats, religious organizations, NAACP, groups dancing, and much more.
