It is a short drive from Downtown Orlando to OHP in Kissimmee. VIP parking is available onsite of OHP if purchased ahead of time. Note all other parking lots are free with free shuttle bus service from parking lots to the gate. Shuttles run approx. every 10-15 minutes for quick and easy access with all day drop off and pick up at the gate, 10am – 2am. This is a great way to enjoy the day! HNDCP Parking is available for purchase in VIP Parking lot, closest to the gates. HNDCP designated parking is also available free of charge in off-site parking lots. ADA equipped shuttles run regular schedules throughout the day. An official ADA issued parking credential is required. Abuse of HNDCP parking areas will not be tolerated. Violators will be towed. Some brief history about Country Thunder (formerly known as Runaway Country). This venue started in Melbourne at Wickham Park and quickly out grew the park so they had to move it to another suitable location. In 2016, they moved this venue to OHP where it could accommodate for a large outdoor concert. Today, formerly known as the Runaway Country still keeps growing with popularity visitors to this unique Country Music weekend event. The Country Thunder keeps coming back to Kissimmee each year.
Before attending this event, it is advised to check the weather forecast to dress accordingly. Some items one may want to bring sunglasses, a baseball cap, poncho, sunscreen, a jacket, and comfortable walking shoes.
When arriving to this event please beware of the security checkpoint to enter the venue grounds. Everyone is subjected to be search. Certain items are not permitted at this venue. Please visit event website for more details what to bring.
