Recently, I was given a box of fresh Giusto Sapore Pandoro Bread. I could not wait to try this bake good. What is Pandoro Bread? Most Americans will say that this is a cake rather then bread. Consumers buy this traditional Italian sweet bread around Christmas and New Year holiday time.

This baked product was made in Italy and made with butter as claimed on the product box. Just RYT Foods Inc. from Pompano Beach, Florida imports this product. There is a long shelf life for this product. The box weight of this product is 26.4 ounces along with the UPC code 0-86706-40402-1. Consumers will find this product at various stores and online shops around $8 per box plus sales tax.

Giusto Sapore box says, “This delightful bread originated as an Italian tradition, enjoyed at breakfast time or as a dessert. The bread is soft and airy. Serve plain or toasted with butter and powdered sugar. Pairs wonderfully with coffee, hot cocoa or a sweet wine. Powdered sugar is included in the box. Buon Appeitto (Bon Appetit)!”

What are the main bread ingredients? There is wheat flour, eggs, sugar, and butter. The product also contains wheat flour, eggs, soy and milk. May contain traces of nuts.

Inside the box, consumers will find a small package of powder to sprinkle on top of bread. The product manufacturer recommends keeping this product in its own package and in cool place. Once opened, keep in an airtight container.

On the outside of the box has a photo of the actual bread with powdered on top. From my perception this product looks sweet. However, the bread is not sweet and bland. It is recommended to add something sweet to the bread such as chocolate, butter cream icing, fruit glaze, brown sugar, etc. This will add the flavor it needs to taste great. See for yourself.
