Source of information: first hand experience,, and

  1. This segment appears daily on WFTV in Orlando. It looks to me like just a sneaky, thinly veiled way of sneaking another minute or two of PAID COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING into their newscast. Worse yet, the WFTV news anchors always introduce the segment by saying “We’ve been featuring a lot of small businesses….” but all I ever see are the same products advertised over and over and they are obviously produced in some factory, not by “small businesses”.

    IOW, they are LYING.

I also dislike the host. She is described as a “shopping expert”. What the hell is that supposed to mean? I’m pretty sure everyone who shops for a family is a shopping expert. And she cones across a total phony, putting on a cutesy act trying to smooth talk people into buying whatever it is she’s selling.

I just wish she would go away. Go back to whatever home shopping channel she comes from and get out of my face every day.

  2. I’ve ordered 2 items from Local Steals and Deals. Both items took several weeks to reach me. The items were not on back order. I tracked them and they would be shipped from the west and go back and forth to places in the north and south. Many places, the package would stay for 5-6 days. I thought it was probably lost but I FINALLY received it. So, if you need it quick, shop elsewhere!
