First off, no one likes robo calls from any unknown phone numbers. Recently, I received a phone during the day from 407-559-XXXX for your car’s extended warranty eligibility. This phone number was researched through versed look up and found as a spoofed phone number. I was not surprised by my results.

The Automotive Services Company left me a robo call message on my personal voice mail. Here are the transcripts from that call which states, […for your car’s extended warranty eligibility. Since we have not gotten a response, we are giving you a final courtesy call before we close your file. Press 1, to speak with a warranty specialist about possibility extending or reinstating your coverage. To be remove and placed on our do not call list please press 2. We are calling from Automotive Services to be removed please call 844-989-1711 UST239.]

Who is Automotive Services? This is not a real company. They do not have a website and marketing material. They are scammers who are posing to collect information and money from unsuspecting consumers. Do not give them any information at any time.

When getting this phone call just ignore it and delete it from voice mail on your phone. Please do not call the phone number back. Do not be surprise if this company calls back again with a different phone number within the same area code.

If you continue to get the same company with the same message always calling you, then keep a log with the date, time of call, phone number, and message they have left you. At some point you may be able to turn over all the evidence to FTC for criminal prosecution.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has posted some information on their website about this scam. For more information please visit www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0054-auto-service-contracts-and-warranties
