First of all, I am not a current customer of Spectrum in Central Florida. Years ago I was a customer for Internet service only and have since moved on to another service provider. I have nothing bad to say about Spectrum. However, I am getting tired of the junk mail that they are sending me. You may be in the same boat too.
There is a way to solve this problem for the short term. Consumers who don’t want junk mail, telephone calls, knock at your door, and email advertisement from this company can go directly to the Spectrum and fill out the Privacy Preferences – Your Rights to Opt Out. Here is the link at www.spectrum.com/policies/your-privacy-rights-opt-out
When you get the Spectrum Opt Out page you will see this headline “Privacy Preferences.” Then it says [You can manage how Spectrum sends certain marketing and advertising messages to you. Please fill out the form below if you do not want to be contacted by phone, email or direct mail, or to opt out of certain marketing messages that may be based on your current Spectrum services. If you prefer to provide your information by phone, please contact a Spectrum customer representative at 1-855-75-SPECTRUM.]
Next, there is a Personal Information section to fill out. Make sure all information is accurate and update to date.
Then click on the “Communication Preferences.” You will see a list of communication preference. Check and fill out all information. Note that you may still get marketing communication up to 30-60 days before your name has been taken off of the data list. Once completed, there is box to check for “I’m not a robot.” And then click the orange “Submit” button.
There are no guarantees it will stop for good. However, it may reduce the volume of marketing material that you may receive. Any problems please contact Spectrum Customer Service for an agent for assistance. Good Luck.
