Recently, I was graving for a burger for lunch so I decided to try the Apopka Fuddruckers Restaurant on a Thursday. I had not visited a Fuddruckers since they closed the Altamonte Springs location back in the 1990’s. It was time to see how these burgers tasted again.
When customers walk into this location it is very welcoming and has an open décor. This restaurant is considered as a fast casual. Sorry, this location does not have a drive-thru. There was no wait when I walked in the door just before noon. Right at noon is when the lunch crowds come in. They were fully staff to take care of customers.
They have plenty of seating in the dinning room. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic there are table blocked off so people can eat six feet apart that is directed by CDC guidelines. This may change when once the virus goes away.
What is Fuddruckers known for? They are known for their World’s Greatest Hamburgers ®. They have many types of burgers from Build Your Own Burger to Exotics Burgers. Plus, they even have Black Angus Chili Cheese Dog, Veggie Burger, Turkey Burger, Fish & Chips, and much more. If does not matter what taste buds you have, there is something for everyone.
Also, the fresh bar is closed at this time. This would normally be open without a pandemic. Upon ordering your burger one must let them know how you want your burger topped off. Choose from lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. Condiments are at the self-serve station.
A friendly Fuddruckers staff took my order. For my lunch I decided on the Small Build Your Own Burger to go. This burger was a well-done cooked 1/3-pound beef patty with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, on a fresh white bun. Plus, I ordered a regular side of Wedge Cut Fries. I did not order a drink to go. Everything was made fresh to order. This is not a fast food restaurant where burgers are made up ahead of time. The total amount was $9.30 with tax.
Once I paid I was given an electronic device to let me know when my order was ready. There were a few people ahead of me who were waiting on their orders too. My order took about 12-15 minutes to cook and then I headed out the door.
Then I arrived at my destination, I could not wait to dig in. The food was still hot and very fresh. They were not kidding about this being a great burger. The hot fries were great with ketchup on the side. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a fantastic burger. Forget the other burger joints out there.
Finally, if you want to visit this location they are located at 2300 East Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, Florida 32703. There are two Central Florida locations are at East Colonial Drive and Orlando Apopka Vineland Road. For more information on this restaurant please visit www.fuddruckers.com .
