Recently, I took an outing to Congo River Mini Golf in Altamonte Springs. I had not been there in quite a few years. Not much has change at this place. The course is still in good condition. One should be in good health to walk the course steps. Their slogan is “It’s more than a game… It’s an adventure!”
Health Notice – Since the COVID-19 pandemic is still going on players are not required to wear a facemask because of this open-air venue. However, if the county and or city require wearing a mask than you must wear one. Everyone should be practicing social distancing while out on the course. Stop the spread of the virus.
On the Congo River website thy posted this statement [Now open! Come play fun outdoors miniature golf! The safety of our guests and team is of utmost importance as we have implemented increase cleaning, sanitation, and social distancing procedures per recommended COVID-19 guidelines.]
What is Congo River Mini Golf? This is a great family fun place to enjoy the great outdoors by mini golf. No one needs to be a professional golfer to play these courses. Each course hole will vary between 2-4 par. At this time, they’re a total of eight Congo River Mini Golf locations in Florida. Look for more new locations to pop up.
It is a short drive from Down Orlando to Congo River Mini Golf in Altamonte Springs. Check your GPS for the best rout there. Plus, there is plenty of free parking on property too. There is handicap parking too. They are located near Chucky Cheese and Best Buy. This attraction is located at 531 State Road 436, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.

If you’re purchasing online please pay 24 hours in advance. Their online vendor takes time to process your round of mini golf. Then you’ll receive an email with your paid bar code to present when on location.
Plus, there are more discounts available too. If you have a valid AAA member’s card, then you can receive $1.50 off each person per game for a round of mini golf. Also, check with course attendant for other discount possibilities. Discounts are subjected to change without notice.
Plan your at right from the start. The mini golf peak times are in the evening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It is recommended to arrive when they’re opening. There tends to be a small group of people. If you own a golf putter then bring it. You’ll be more comfortable and accurate when putting. When going to each hole, the key is to assess each hole before putting. Where is the white PVC cup? From home, bring a bag filled with bottle water and a few snacks for your golf party.
Wondering on how to score your game? Players have two choices. They can hand scorecard or download the Android/Apple Congo River Mini Golf application to your cell phone. Most likely you will be using the hand-scoring card with pencil.
Here is my experience for the day at Congo River. It was very pleasant. We took our time getting through the all 18-holes. Expect to put between 1-6+ swings per each hole. Overall, a round can take about 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on how many people are on the course at a time. Yes, I had one hole in one shot on Hole #15. It was great. Everyone had a great time.
Don’t forget to participate in the Exploration Game while mini golfing. While playing a round, see if you can spot a shield, hat, Totem, Canoe, mask, and spear. These objects are all out in the open. Can you spot them? At the end, turn in your scorecard where you found these object and receive a prize.
Bring your family and friends down to this place. Enjoy an 18-round mini golf course. See it for yourself.
