Scams & Rip-Offs – Received a phone call about my Social Security Suspension Notice

By Robert Voss

Tonight, I received a phone call voice mail about my Social Security suspension notice from phone number 805-637-7243. This is when my investigation started.

This is not my first Social Security robocall phone call that I received. Last year, I had one around the same time in early September 2019 about my Social Security number being suspended. That one was from a different phone number of 1-888-594-9886. It is unknown at this time if it is the same scammer using the same phone number data list.

Here is a transcript of the voice mail robocall message:

[Hi, this call from Social Security Administration and the nature behind is call is to inform you about a Suspension notice that we have received against your Society Security number regarding fraudulent activates running in the State of Pennsylvania. So we need to talk to you as soon as possible. I repeat this call is from Society Security Administration. The number to reach is free toll 724-381-2084. Again I repeat 724-381-2084. Thank you]

When listening to this message, the voice sounds like it could be either an Indian and or Middle-Easterner English male on the recording. So I conducted a search on the phone number and it came up with a location from New Salem, Pennsylvania.

Do not call the above robocall phone numbers. They want information and money from you. These are not official government phone numbers. Plus, Social Security Administration will never left these types of messages.
