Mail box – Received a letter from The Voter Participation Center in the mail

By Robert Voss

Recently, I received a letter in the mail from The Voter Participation Center from Tallahassee, Florida. The letter was address to me with my nickname on it. It is unknown how they got my name and address. What is puzzling is that I am already a registered voter in Seminole County, Florida. So I decided to investigate this organization.

Who The Voter Participation Center (VPC) organization? This is a national organization that has branches office in most states. Plus, voter registration campaign is a 501(c) (3) organization. The Florida address is located at 800 Ocala Road, Suite 300, Box #356, Tallahassee, Florida 32304. This address is a post office box in at UPS Store #4263. For more information on this organization please visit

The envelope sent to me was addressed from The VPC. It looks like an official envelope with “Voter Registration Form Enclosed. Do Not Discard.” Inside the envelope was another envelope with my name and address along with the Volusia County Supervisor of Elections in DeLand on it.

Plus, there were two additional documents with this letter. The first letter has a headline states, “ Notice: Florida law requires you to file a registration application in order to vote.” To check to see if you are a registered voter in the State of Florida please visit .  At the end of the letter it states, “If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, email code: (FLA**********) to

Finally, in my opinion, this organization did not cross reference the data of registered voters to non-registered voters. Then they could have targeted the non-registered voters instead. The final deadline to register to vote is Monday, October 5, 2020.
