Apopka, Florida – Outside, it was a cold and overcast day on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the Pentecostals of Apopka (POA) Church. That did not stop churchgoers. Bishop Mike Williams and Pastor Caleb Hill welcomed Guest Evangelist Landon Gore to the church. He was well received by everyone.

Who is Guest Evangelist Landon Gore? He resides in Wylie, Texas. Gore attended the Texas Bible College and studied Theology. Now he works at The Refuge Church of the Lake Cities and travels to other churches around the world. His church is known for Hope, Healing, and Holy Spirit. Gore’s parents run the daily operations of the church. He has some published YouTube videos entitled “There is Honey in Those Rocks,” Hell’s Obituary is God’s Resume,” and much more. Gore is actively on social media. You can follow him at twitter.com/landongore?lang=en and www.facebook.com/landon.gore.3 . Sorry, his Instagram account is private. At this worship service, they played these songs such as, “We love to call your name,” “Mountain are still being move,” “You are here,” “There are no shadows,” and “Break every chain.” POA churchgoers were singing and having a great time.

Evangelist Gore was excited to be here at POA on this day. He prepared the congregation for what they would experience. He mentioned about the Holy Ghost, Baptism, and healing at this worship service.

Here are some of the highlights. Gore talked about a blind man and his bucket (orange pinch pot). To demonstrate the presents of Jesus, He asked a group of POA youth to come on stage. Towards the end of the sermon Gore broke the pinch pot on stage. It broke into many pieces along with coins being scattered. It was a sight to see the pieces on stage.

Evangelist Gore talked about being at the bottom in life. He summed it up best that it is better to be on the bottom and work your way to the top again. There are many lost souls out there. Just because there is something bad in your life doesn’t mean you can’t turn it around. This is where faith and Jesus comes in. Gore said, “Everyone deserves a second chance.”

Another story that Evangelist Gore talked about was preaching in someone’s living room. At the time, he was the church music director. He played his church music set on his Apple iPad and everyone in the room was spiritually moved. The people at home did not speak English. So Gore called one of his Spanish friends to help translate his English to Spanish at this home worship service. His friend was on lunch at the time and did not he would be doing a great deed for someone else. Everyone there got the gift of the Holy Ghost. They were truly moved.

The only bible reference mentioned at this worship service was the Book of Mark, Chapter 10:46-52. Here is what the bible chapter says, [46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.] Bible reference from

At the end of Gore’s sermon, there was an alter call. He courage many churchgoers to move forward who had never had the Holy Ghost and stand in front. Then everyone else gather too. He said he was going to name drop. That name was Jesus Christ. Then he goes on to say, “let the river flow in your heart.” Some people had never Holy Ghost before and were able to do so.

There is a videotape able if you missed the Gore guest sermon online or at the POA Bookstore. Look for the sermon entitled “The God of the Overflow” and the total video footage was 1:31:36. Along with this video there is a photo slideshow at this link –  www.otownfun.com/?lightbox=dataItem-kyructsj

Finally, Gore put on a high spiritual performance. At this worship service, churchgoers were filled by the gift of the Holy Ghost that were young and old along with one baptism performed in the sanctuary too. Everyone participated in the large alter call. Even I was taken back by the high energy level. I felt the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues too. What an experience it was. I hope Evangelist Gore visits our church again in the future.

About Pentecostals of Apopka (POA) Church. This church is known as POA. Michael and Debra Williams have served as Bishop/Pastor of the Pentecostals of Apopka since February 1978.  Thankfully, the church family has experienced significant growth through their decades of service, as well as developing a new 16-acre campus, with 60,000 square feet of ministry facilities.  They consider it a significant blessing, to have had the privilege of raising their daughters, Brooke and Rory, both of whom are now married and in full time ministry, in the context of this multi-generational, POA family.  Assisted by many capable leaders, and staff, and surrounded by a missions minded community of faith, the POA family continues to find new and innovative ways to extend its reach beyond our local congregation, into our community, and around the world.

POA atmosphere is very welcoming to everyone. Outsiders are always welcome to be our guest at any worship service on Sundays at 10:30am and Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Will save a seat for you. If you can’t make it in-person then please visit us on www.thepentecostals.com/watch-live .
