Information compiled and written by Nathan Wertheimer

Central Florida get ready to drive on the new 21 miles 1-4 Express Toll Lanes from Longwood to Sandlake Road in Orlando starting on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 10am and or could be delayed. Vehicles must have a transponder to drive on thee lanes. If you don’t have a transponder than vehicle tag owner will pay a fine plus the tolls too.

Here is what you need to know about the I-4 Express Toll Lanes Payments. They  only accept  Sunpass, NC Quick Pass, E-ZPass, Peach Pass, Leeway, and E Pass. Other transponders maybe added in the future. Sorry, there is no toll-by-plate option on these toll roads.

The price per toll will depend on traffic volume on the non-toll lanes. It is estimated per tolls range from .50¢ to $3.00+ per trip. No tollbooths to stop and pay. Get to your destination safer and faster through heavy traffic.

Finally, drivers have a choice in Central Florida and the I4 Ultimate Project is almost finished. They are doing touch up work at this time. In the future, I-4 maybe reconstructed again in about ten years. This will depend on Central Florida population increase. For more information on this toll road please visit www.i4express.com .
