Apopka, FL – The pre-worship service prayer room is open and filled with serious churchgoers who want to reach out to God and Jesus. This is open to anyone. There are two prayer rooms available to those who want to individually want to pray for themselves. Choose the upper prayer room with a large window with light coming in. The other is the lower prayer room, which is more intimate with less window light coming through. It doesn’t matter which one you choose. It is recommended to get in the prayer room early so you can get a seat to pray, if not, there is standing room only.
What are some of the styles of individuals praying? First, some family heritage is involved. For myself, I recite a blessing over my Tallit/Prayer Shawl and put in on over my shoulder and head. Next, I pray to God over personal matters. One should be prayer for other people too.
Some people get on their knees and pray along with speaking in tongues. That is fine.
Plus, some people are loud that one can hear them. Some even call out to Jesus Christ. Others will go into a quiet meditation state. Each individual can choose his or her own way of praying to the Lord. Experience for yourself to see what works.
Finally, I encourage everyone to visit one of the POA prayer rooms and experience the individual praying session. Before the worship service starts, the Bishop or the Pastor will lead a quick blessing before all of us leave the prayer room. What an experience it was. I highly recommend this activity to serious churchgoers. Do your thing and don’t let anyone stop in the name of the Lord.
About Pentecostals of Apopka (POA) Church. This church is known as POA. Michael and Debra Williams have served as Bishop/Pastor of the Pentecostals of Apopka since February 1978. Thankfully, the church family has experienced significant growth through their decades of service, as well as developing a new 16-acre campus, with 60,000 square feet of ministry facilities. They consider it a significant blessing, to have had the privilege of raising their daughters, Brooke and Rory, both of whom are now married and in full time ministry, in the context of this multi-generational, POA family. Assisted by many capable leaders, and staff, and surrounded by a missions minded community of faith, the POA family continues to find new and innovative ways to extend its reach beyond our local congregation, into our community, and around the world.
POA atmosphere is very welcoming to everyone. Outsiders are always welcome to be our guest at any worship service on Sundays at 10:30am and Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Will save a seat for you. If you can’t make it in-person then please visit us on www.thepentecostals.com/watch-live .
