If you never been to Renningers Twin Markets in Mount Dora, you don’t know what your missing. Most people attend the Renningers Antique Extravaganza on certain weekend, which is held a few times out of the year. They rows and rows of dealers selling everything from the kitchen sink to everything else in between. Admission will vary from $9-$15 depending on the day of venue. Rain or shine this event goes on. This is a family friendly event.

It is a 35-45 minute drive from Downtown Orlando to Renningers Twin Markets in Mt Dora. Check your GPS for the best route there. There is plenty of free parking available. When arriving on property, look for staff directing traffic on the property. Plus, there are plenty of handicap parking spaces too. It is advised to arrive early for the closets parking spaces to the venue location. Renningers is located at 20651 US 441, Mt Dora, Florida 32757.
What is Renningers Antique Extravaganza? This is a large event, which takes place on select weekends throughout the year. This venue usually takes place three per year. They held in the months of January, February, and November. Watch for reminders on the Renningers Facebook account. This is considered one of the largest flea market and rummage sale events in Central Florida area. Watch for heavy traffic will be at the opening time thru midday. Crowds tend to thin out in the afternoon. Sunday is considered a slower day of shoppers looking and buying.
Shoppers just love the large selection of mainly used items, antiques, and collectibles. There maybe some new items as well. Here are just some of the categories one may see at this venue which are, clothing, housewares, furniture, military relics, sports equipment, sports memorabilia, electronics, DVD/VHS tapes, toys, music LP & records, music instruments, photography, fine art, sculptures, glassware, religious artifacts, historical items, postcards, auto parts, tools, hardware, gaming machines, jewelry, and much more. All items are sold-as-is. No warranty is included with product. All sales are final with dealers unless posted. Prices on items will vary by dealer. All dealers take cash. However, a few that may take credit cards. Plus, there are a few ATM machines around this venue for your convenience. It is recommended to bring cash with you before attending this event. Don’t wait in long line for the ATM machines.
Here are some tips and questions before buying an item at this event. Inspect the item for its condition. Is the item missing is parts or pieces? Does this item still work in the condition it is in? Does this item have any safety issues? What is the actual value of this item? Check for pricing on online on your cell phone for a ballpark figure on that item. Will the dealer take less money for the item? What is the history behind this item? What does it cost to ship this item to my home? Does this dealer offer local delivery for a large item? Ask the dealer if they have a storefront or online store. For a large item how do I transport it home?
There are some items one will not find at this venue which are modern firearms, ammo, vehicles, drugs, restaurant equipment, commercial equipment, and other illegal items. Some items maybe questionable at this event, then ask the dealer for more details.
If you get hungry at this event, there are a few places to get a quick bite. They fast casual places throughout this venue that serve hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, ice cream, and much more. Prices will vary by food and drink items. There is limited seating area from these food vendors.
When coming to event, it is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing. One will be doing plenty of walking looking at various dealer tables. Expect to spend 3-5 hours at this event. One can’t see this event in one hour. If you have never been to this event before, you’ll be sure to have a lot of fun shopping. There are some great bargains to be had.
